Haunted Rail Road Tracks

Happy Halloween!

First I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween full of fun, family and friends.
As I think of this day and the days I celebrated it back home
I think of the Haunted Rail Road Tracks.

Its a long time legend that a school bus was hit by a train on these tracks
and all the children on board died.

In this area all the streets are named after the children.

So this time every year, hundreds gather at these tracks
Put baby powder on their trunk,
and park on the track
The spirits push the car over the tracks
and  little finger prints appear in  the baby powder.

Ive done it a few times
Its pretty freaky

Many say the story isnt true, many said it is.
I guess we will never know.

Does your home town have any scarey legends?

1. What’s the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for you?

Hmm thats a tough one. The nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me is, when I was PCSing over seas by myself with a one year old, she saw be struggling with car seat, stroller, diaper bag and half the house for the kid. So she accompanied me the whole way from chicago to frankfurt germany helping me carying my stuff.

2. If you are having a hard time going to sleep, what do you do to help yourself?

I turn on a tear jerker. If I cry i get sleepy, works every time.

3. Name something that makes you wish you were a kid again.

NAP TIME! Oh how I hate that when I was a  kid I would fight nap time... Oh how I took that for granted as a kid... *sigh*

4. What is something you never believed until you experienced it?

The love a mom has for her children. Theres nothing like it or that can compair to it.

5. What can’t you say “no” to?

Having more kids. Army Wife, 3 boys, and I work. NO MORE!

Weight Watcher

When I was pregnant with Isaac
I gained allot of weight

Not sure if it is very apparent from this picture but I gained around
AAAAACCCHHOOO *SEVENTY LBS* CCCHOOOO
It is hard for me to share that.
VERY hard.

Isaac was born March 17th 2010
weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz.
(born via c-section)

So instantly, like not even 2 weeks later I had lost 34 pounds
And instantly, I also plateaued with 46 pounds left to loose
I avoided cameras while stuck at this point.

Then I joined Weight Watchers
and lost 15 lbs the first 2 weeks
(Pictured below)

And in six weeks I was done 28 pounds total.
(Don't have a picture of me)

Then I fell off the band wagon.
My husband went to the field
things got stressful at work.
But
I am back on it
with 20 pounds still to loose.

By the way did I mention Isaac is only 6 months.
I think I am doing pretty good.

Weight watchers is great for the kind of person that needs a list
a plan, step by step, accountability.
That's me.
A planner.
A points counter.
If I can do it, anyone can do it.
Seriously.

Do you do weight watchers?
Or whats your weight lost regiment.

P.S. My favorite WW meal is the 4 cheese pizza! VERY filling!

Mil-Spouse Friday Fill in... On a Sunday

Im playing catch-up! I love the Friday fill-in

1. What is the longest road trip you’ve ever taken?

Ugh, from San Antonio to New Mexico with a 4 month old. Not fun at all!

2. Do you collect anything? Tell us a bit about it.

Well we are stationed in Germany, so I collect all kinds of things. Polish pottery, steins, tea sets, challenge coins, and other little german knick nacks.

3. What is your favorite part about being an adult?)

Oh gosh, I dont know if I have a favorite part. LOL! I guess being able to drive and take off when ever I want where ever I want.. .With the kids in tow of course.

4. What song brings a tear to your eye?

"Thats my job" by Conway Twitty. It reminds me of all the things my Mom sacrificed for me and my brother, and then all the things my husband and I will and do for our kids.

5. Describe your first plane ride (how old you were, where you were heading, etc).

I was 14, going to Florida to visit my Grandpa. My Grandma and my Mom took me out to breakfast before I left. And my Grandma prayed over me before i got on the plane. I felt like I might die the way they made a big deal about it. I dont remember much about the flight, but I do remember that when I landed I almost kissed the ground because I had just discovered I hated flying.
